Domain Name Availability Checker
Domain Names
First you need to choose a domain name that will eventually be used with your dedicated server. You will need to register your domain name yourself. It is important to register your domain name with a host who allows DNS pointing.
Once you have registered a domain, then all you need to do is ask your domain name host to update your domains IP address, which is part of its DNS. We will provide you with the IP address of your server.
We recommend using one of the following to register your domain name with:-
- www.1and1.co.uk
- www.dyndns.com (Custom DNS service)
Important: You are responsible for your domain name renewal when it is due. You will not receive any reminders direct from Data Send UK regarding your domain name renewal. You should receive a reminder from whoever you registered it with originally.
How to order
Once we have received and processed your payment we will begin to set up your server and configure your Enterprise Suite. We individually load test each server by transferring a range of file types up to 2GB in size.
1: We always aim to have a new server tested and on-line within 48 hours of receiving an order payment. We cannot be held to this timescale, however you can rest assured that the technicians will be working as fast as possible.
2: Send us your company logo/image file for the header section in any standard graphic format to branding@datasend.co.uk We will then place this file inside the branded pages. You may use a different image file (usually smaller) for the confirmation emails if you wish or no image at all. The text for the confirmation emails can also be adjusted upon request.
You will then receive some links to your dedicated server account pages
in the form of:-
https://www.yourdomain.co.uk/user/
